It's easy to eat well at Te Whare Moana. But if you don't feel like cooking there's plenty to choose from in Cheviot or further afield.
The cabin is self-catered, with a two-burner gas hob and an outdoor Weber BBQ. We provide muesli, milk, tea, ground coffee and a French press, along with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and marshmallows for the outdoor fire.
For anything else you need, Cheviot, a 15 minute drive, has a Four Square supermarket and Harris Farms Bakery and Butchery for local provisions.
From a relaxed coffee or a country pub to a long lunch at a local winery, there are plenty of ways to eat and drink your way around North Canterbury. Here are some of our favourite places, from a quick trip to Cheviot to a day out a little further afield.
Driving up from Christchurch? Stop at Woodend Bakery for the best pie - in our humble opinions -our favourite is the steak, cheese and jalapeño.
